Child and Adolescent Psychiatry Clinic
Given that disabilities and disorders in children and adolescents are becoming increasingly common, the Insula County Hospital focuses on their prevention and the treatment of these vulnerable groups. The Hospital employs a speech-language pathologist, social pedagogue, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, nutritionist, and clinical psychologist in order to timely detect, diagnose, and treat a wide range of disabilities and disorders, such as speech impediments, developmental disabilities, behavioral disorders, substance abuse, eating disorders, depression, etc.
An important asset of our interdisciplinary and multi professional team working with children and adolescents is a subspecialist in child and adolescent psychiatry, whose role is essential not only in the timely detection, diagnosis, and treatment of present and future generations, as well as working with families where children often suffer or are exposed to violence or neglection as a result of dysfunctionality, and exposure to external stressors (economic, social, illness in the family, etc.)
An A5 referral is required for all general practitioner’s consultations, and for appointments and treatment, the usual Croatian Health Insurance Fund (HZZO) referrals are required. For additional information or appointments, contact us at the phone number 091/218-3663.
