Our Approach
Insula County Hospital offers standardized treatment programs for a wide spectrum of acute and chronic psychiatric and mental disabilities and illnesses. The institution uses several standard and innovative methods in the treatment of stationary patients, such as psychotherapy, group work, cognitive skills training, animal-assisted therapy, brain gym, biofeedback, neurofeedback, Snoezelen rooms, art therapy, music therapy and numerous social activities in order to maintain high standards and follow modern healthcare trends. By continuously investing in the education of the employees, purchasing equipment, adapting and decorating the hospital infrastructure, as well as regularly maintaining the environment that unifies multiple therapy gardens and a lavender field, the Hospital strives to provide a humane and comfortable stay to the patients staying there.
Optimizing the treatment process and nurturing a holistic approach, the process of recovery, healing and re-socialization of patients seeks to be maximized. Through various activities aimed at educating the wider population, the Hospital has been working for years to destigmatize people with mental and mental disorders and seeks to encourage them to seek adequate health care more actively and at an earlier stage.
