Department of Psychosocial Rehabilitation

Department of Psychosocial Rehabilitation

The department has a capacity of 52 beds and is designed for female patients of all age groups (18 years and older) suffering from mental illnesses or reactive psychological conditions that impair the quality of life and require hospital treatment due to their intensity (schizophrenic disorder, schizoaffective disorder, mood disorders, adult personality and behavioral disorders, neurotic and somatoform disorders, stress-related disorders, etc.).

A biopsychosocial treatment program is conducted under the leadership of a multidisciplinary therapeutic team consisting of a psychiatrist, departmental physician, registered nurse, psychologist, social educator, social worker and nutritionist. As needed, a specialized consultation team may be involved, including an internist, physiatrist, and neurologist.

The emphasis of the treatment is on psychotherapy in addition to pharmacotherapy, conducted both individually and in groups, utilizing biofeedback and a range of work-occupational rehabilitation programs of integrative rehabilitation. The treatment program is individually designed based on the psychological condition, needs, capacities, interests, and therapeutic goals of each patient. Alongside psychotherapy, a significant focus of our treatment program is achieving optimal daily functionality and socialization.

The primary admission criterion is that the acute psychological condition does not endanger the patient or her surroundings and that she can be involved in one of the programs offered. The programs are adapted to the patient and her current voluntary and behavioral characteristics.

After achieving satisfactory psychological conditions and establishing the capability for proper functioning in work, family, and social settings, patients are discharged to secured outpatient conditions (returning home, appropriate institution, or foster family). Treatment continues through specialized outpatient and partial-hospital treatment.

The department offers two apartments that can be accessed for an additional fee (extra service). The price list for extra accommodation services can be found here.
