Internal Medicine Clinic

An internal medicine examination includes a medical interview (anamnesis), physical examination (including inspection, palpation, and auscultation), blood pressure measurement, and ECG recording. Afterwards, the internal medicine specialist will recommend either further treatment and/or therapy for your symptoms or suggest a further subspecialist appointment and treatment. You can also schedule an appointment for preoperative examinations here.

To ensure a comprehensive examination, bring recent laboratory test results and previous medical documentation with you, especially those conducted in other healthcare institutions. The examination itself does not require any preparation.

Some of the most common diseases that can be detected and treated are arterial hypertension, ischemic heart disease, asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD), pneumonia, diabetes, gastrointestinal diseases, hyperthyroidism, hypothyroidism, kidney diseases, etc. Internal medicine is not called in vain the Queen of Medicine, since it covers a wide range of medical areas.

Spirometry

Internal Medicine Clinic

Spirometry is the fundamental pulmonary function test. It measures the lung capacity and the speed and volume of inhaled and exhaled air. This simple test is irreplaceable in the diagnostics of most frequent pulmonary diseases (asthma, chronic obstructive pulmonary disease), as well as in the monitoring of treatment efficiency. Before the examination it is important not to smoke, and the doctor will personally recommend what treatment you should receive. Our nurse or medical technician will explain and guide you through the process. In short, you will have to breathe through a tube attached to a device and then, according to the instructions, take a deep breath and blow all the air from the lungs into the tube.

You will get the test result immediately after the examination.
