In addition to the standard methods of treatment for a wide range of mental disabilities, disorders and diseases in seven specialized departments, the Insula County Hospital offers a range of diagnostic and specialist services and rehabilitation at the outpatient level, such as biochemical laboratory tests, X-rays, ultrasounds, ECG, ergometry, polysomnography, EEG, and evoked potentials. Specialist services of a psychiatrist, child and adolescent psychiatrist, physiatrist, internist, neurologist, speech-language pathologist, clinical psychologist, nutritionist, physical therapy, etc. are all available to residents of the island, the wider region, but also to foreign guests. In order to maintain high standards and nurture an individualized and holistic approach, the institution applies various modern and innovative treatment methods such as biofeedback, neurofeedback, animal assisted therapy, sensory cabinet, etc.
By continuously investing in staff education, equipment procurement, adaptation and development of hospital infrastructure, as well as regularly maintaining an environment that consolidates several therapeutic gardens and a lavender field, we strive to provide users with the most pleasant and humane visit or stay in the Hospital.
